I'm back to post highlights of 2013 on my blog. I left for several reasons. 1) I had a job which I have since lost much to my regret. 2) I had trouble with my google password due to conflicts at that job and 3) I was worried about corrupting my photographs on this blog. I moved to Facebook to post my pictures. Anyway, the issues have been resolved (I think) so I thought I would start posting again now and then. Here is my highlight collage from 2013. Roger's 3 great grandchildren are represented along with the cabin from our mountain vacation, a trip to the beach with my friend, Carol, who lives in Arkansas, and various family celebrations. I wish my Blogger friends a very Happy and Prosperous New Year for 2014.

Jaime and Aaron hosted Easter dinner. Ham, Mac n Cheese, Potato Salad, Hot Cross Buns,
Coconut and Chocolate Cakes. Ymmm
Irma, Jill, Mia, Aaron and Mark - Just a few of the Easter guests.
Irma, Jaime and Aaron taking it easy in the back yard. Jaime hid 100 eggs out there.
Aaron and Jonah
Jill in her pink Easter dress and shoes that we picked out for her and Mia.
Mia and her bunny
Roger's great granddaughter Briella's first Easter picture.
Just a shot of Cory and the girls getting a little exercise.

Just a few pictures from Easter past. We had a peaceful and happy day. Pictures I wish I had - Brody searching the yard for Easter eggs. He found one by mistake and they had to pin him up. After the egg hunt they let him find another one. He spent the rest of the day searching for more. :-) Also wish I had a picture of Jonah in his football uniform. I will make him pose for that one even though he HATES having his picture taken.
We were trying to figure out what country this flag on a restaurant menu represented. Mia said it was Argentina. The waiter checked and she was right??!!
A recent page of Mia's school work. Her own spelling and drawing. The words were TOSS, TOAD, TOES, TACOS, TALK and TURN.

Jaime decorated the little girls with shiny green eyeliner and a shamrock on their cheeks. All 3 kids went to the zoo with grandma. Jill and Mia rode the flying banana twice where the man running the ride called them "sassy". When the ride was over he told them to "make like a banana and split" and to "peel on outa here." They loved it.
Sweet Florida strawberries are in season. The Strawberry Festival in Plant City just ended last week. I made a strawberry pie. Well, I didn't really make it. I just baked a frozen pie shell and piled it full of fresh berries coated with store bought strawberry glaze and topped it with whipped topping. It was good, though, and tasted very homemade.

Jill likes the card I got for Roger.
The lipstick blot inside reminds me of my Mom.
Of course, Mia and Jill had to try a kiss.
Hope everyone had a happy Valentine's Day. To catch up since the first of the year, I have another part time job. My job with Worldview Publishing had been cut down to only one day a week. Thanks to my son, I found another job at nearby Life Enrichment Center. Cory was doing volunteer hours for them when he heard they needed a new office assistant. He said, "That sounds like my Mom" and I got the job! They offer art, writing, exercise classes and more. I work there 3 days a week and 1 day at Worldview Publishing. So now I have two fun part-time jobs. We had a little family superbowl party at my house with just Cory, Stephanie, Jaime, Aaron and the kids. It was fun. I wish we did this more often. Jonah just got his second report card in middle school and it was all A's and B's again even though there were some concerns in the middle of the grading period. Mia is doing well in kindergarten and going to the park after school. Jill is doing great as always at school and chorus and is a big help to Mia with her homework. I have been using Facebook to keep up with everyone. I invite my Blogger friends to check with me there under Shari Sunday :-)
