Mia's 6th Birthday Party

Mia's second birthday cake. My cake with whipped cream icing melted!

Lala Loopsie cake. Probably tasted good but everything just sunk
into the whipped cream even though Jaime had it in a cooler.
Whipped cream - low in sugar, but bad idea.

Mia was able to READ her birthday cards
(with a little help)

Mia requested a surprise birthday party this year. So Aaron and Jaime told her grandma was taking her to the doctor's. Aaron said she had six-itis and had to have six shots. I think that was mean. I told her there would be no shots and we would do something fun afterwards. We went to the park and were almost to the shelter when Mia said, "This isn't the way to the doctor's!" Then she said, "This is the park!" And that is when her mom and several other people jumped out from behind a tree and yelled, "SURPRISE!" Cory, Stephanie and Jill are missing from these pictures because they weren't able to come but lots of other people showed up and had a good time.

Jill's 9th Birthday Party

Birthday Girl

Cookies and Cream cupcakes and ice cream cake

Stephanie and Jill

Jaime and her mother-in-law, Irma. Love Irma. Love the tee shirt.

Jill got a "J" pillow from Justice that she has long admired.

Surprise gift from Irma and Mark. A very fancy telephone.

And she got some clothes. The jeans covered her long legs but were too tight in the waist.

We got together at Cory and Stephanie's to celebrate Jill's birthday. As usual, there will be more than one. We will probably have cake at the park on Wednesday with Jill's mom and friend, Becca. At some later date, Jill will be going to Aquatica with her stepmom and dad and another friend. This time was just for family. We couldn't let the day go by without cake. Jill and Mia helped me make both cupcakes and ice cream cake. We got Edy's No Sugar Added Vanilla and layered lots of crushed sugar free Oreo cookies in a loaf pan to make the ice cream cake. Then we added crushed Oreo's to a white cake mix to make the cupcakes. Happy Birthday, Jillian!

Jonah's 12th Birthday Party

A birthday party at the mall with pizza  and movie tickets to Men in Black 3-D.

Aaron, Jonah, Pee Paw and Jaime

Jonah and Brody - 1 year after he was Jonah's birthday present last year. Brody was more interested in a treat than in posing for my camera. (Opps! My camera was set to the wrong year.)

Jill's bowling party was a great success. Stephanie made a great bowling ball cake. It was layered with chocolate cake and confetti cake. Stephanie bought a special pan to make the cake. I see a lot of soccer, basket and baseball cakes in our future. Jill squealed with delight at her presents and all her friends and family came. Mia was able to bowl with a special ramp they set up for her. She got a strike! Even Roger had a good time. All the other pictures are on Stephanie's camera because I forgot mine. BTW, after Stephanie went to all that trouble to make the cake Jill described, Jill said, "You could have just drawn the bowling ball with icing!"
