I'm letting Cory do my photography for me again. They recently celebrated 5 years since their first date. They have been happy years for us all. We are glad to have you in our lives, Stephanie.

The picture above is their first date -- Roger's surprise birthday party. They worked together at the time. When I was visiting his office, Cory introduced Stephanie as his secretary. She didn't like that very much since she had more seniority than he did. So she signed up for a lifetime of practical jokes, mostly at her expense. Go figure.

June 3, 2011 - Our 5-year anniversary. Hard to believe. The kids were having end of school parties, Jaime and Aaron were working on their roof, and Roger and I celebrated by going to Ivarone's - a landmark Tampa restaurant owned by a landmark Tampa family. Click on the restaurant name to see the menu. Roger and I had steak and their fantastic house salad and cannoli's for desert. Bruce, Mary, Rick and Darlene went with us.

We went to Ivarone's last night for our anniversary instead of driving out to the Rusty Pelican where we got married 4 years ago. Wanted to go, but didn't want to do the drive. Ivarone's was awesome. We had a great steak with enough left over for another meal and we had coffee and cannoli's for desert. Roger is a new fan of cannoli's.

third anniversary - June 3

Yesterday was our third anniversary. When I got up a beautiful card was waiting on the dining table. Like all the cards my husband buys, it was wonderful, but it looked somewhat familiar. Also, it said "Happy Birthday" instead of "Happy Anniversary". To be fair, the "birthday" type was light and Roger is color blind. He had scratched out "birthday" and written in "anniversary". That rang a bell with me and I got out my box of cards and found the same card from Valentine's day with "birthday" scratched out. He said he picked it for the sentiment. I guess he really means that one. I love my cards and the husband who chose them! I include pictures from our wedding and a picture of our beautiful wedding cake. We made a vow to always go back to Rusty Pelican for our anniversary, but this year we stayed home and had steak, stuffed potatoes, salad and homemade Hershey's chocolate bundt cake (made with Splenda). Someday soon we will go back to the beautiful Rusty Pelican, but our steaks at home were just as good.
