More Little Christmas Things

Jill with the tree and the train in the background. Jonah put the train together.

Santa plate - a gift from my mom

Mantel clock. Another gift from my mom. She knew what I liked.

The duck got some greenery and pine cones. Jonah and I went driving around the golf course looking for pine cones.

I think Stephanie gave me the bird nest last year. The angel was on my childhood tree. She had batteries to be a smoke alarm, but I don't know if that ever worked. Reminds me of mom.

Little Christmas Things

My mother bought this little ornament and it was always my favorite. I love the little bare feet. I didn't know till after her death that this series was called "Mary's Angels".

I added this one. A little boy angel with a bunny.

Jaime bought this ornament, but we all think it looks like Mia.

I sprayed snow on the old artificial tree this year and got some old fashioned tinsel.

Mia hung all her ornaments on the bottom of the tree.

Jonah got out the train but would not pose by the tree.

Mia liked the little train ornaments
The kids came over and helped me decorate the tree. I sprayed it with snow this year. We thought about a real one but got out the artificial one again. I do plan on rearranging the ornaments a little but it was very cute to watch Mia especially. She is really excited about Christmas this year. We play Christmas music in the car. She likes Little Drummer Boy and she squeals when she sees Christmas lights. Jonah is the best at spotting them first.
I don't have any pictures but I celebrated my first Hanukkah with Aaron's parents. It was fun. Lots of latkes were made and eaten and the Hanukkah candles were lit. A new experience for me.

Thanksgiving Guest

Queenie

Jaime and Aaron were dog sitting. So Queenie came over for Thanksgiving. Inside we had Nibbles, our poodle and Samantha, my brother and sister-in-law's dachshund. So Queenie stayed in the back yard but she had a good day. And a taste of turkey. I had 20 people over for Thanksgiving and this is about the only picture I got. But she is a pretty dog.

Dancing

Cory and Stephanie's dance at their wedding.

Jill and Cory share a dance at his and Stephanie's wedding in September of this year.

Jill and Jonah dancing while Jaime watches. Mia is onboard but not born yet.

Jill and Jonah at our wedding in 2006. They liked each other better back then, I think.

Shari and Roger dancing at our 2006 wedding. The song was "At Last" which some of my friends found funny because of our long courtship.

Cold Day - Mia's 4th Birthday Party

This says it all, all wrapped up in a coat and trying to blow out the candles before the wind did.

Jaime designed the cake. Mia wanted blue cake with pink icing.

Jill helping Mia unwrap presents as she has always done.

Jaime with a creative outfit to keep warm and still look fashionable.

I'm sorry that lots of people and great picture opportunities are not represented. Camera problems. It was an unusually cold, windy day but a lot of friends and extended family showed up to help Mia celebrate her birthday. She had a great time even though she insists she still wants to be 3.
